"Medic" by Richard
On December 27th there was a special prize game for Christmas and it was cold as well as foggy. I was on "red" team and the first few games went ok but as the day went on we were fight with our backs to Forum it looked like we were going to get slaughtered by the blue team. One game some kid walked out on the field with out any equipment. He said both of his guns were not functioning. I’m sure everyone including the refs were wondering why he was on the field but we would take any help we could get, and he helped a lot. This kid was telling us the positions of "blue" team as they moved forward on us. It seemed like he had no fear, He just stood there pointing at "blue" team and ducking every once and while when a paintball flew by him. We still lost that game but there was no doubt in my mind that we would have lost a lot sooner if he hadn't told us that they were flanking us or coming left or straight on. As the games proceeded on the kid carried things on the field with him. First it was a squeegee and a swab he told us that if we had a ball break and needed it cleaned to call medic. We now called this kid medic. He ran all over the field spreading news of what was going on, who need reinforcements, our numbers etc. we kept losing but we gave "blue" team a run for there money. The "medic" added a pod pack to his gear. He said that if we needed paint to call him over and he would re-supply us. He used his own paint and must have given out half a case at least during the day. One game we would have been completely flanked from behind if he hadn't spotted that our right side of the field was over run. He told us we needed to fall back to the base or we would get surrounded. That game was the longest game I think we played since we had a stand off with overwhelming forces. The "medic" told us where each one of them were so we had a edge on them but we were sadly out gunned and were eventually over run but we had a solid defense for a good 20 minutes.
The refs probably thought he was wiping people but I never saw him do it once. The "medic" saved our butts on many occasions but his efforts were not enough to beat blue team.
"Capture the flag" by Alex Peterson
It was the ''Capture the Flag'' scenario. I was the blue team and I was starting at the East Base. When the battle began I ran off in the left direction to advance up to the ''Reds base". I was with several grownups who were more experienced than me. This was my first time ever doing paintball. We went somewhat a distance in that direction until we started heading for the West base. Up ahead I noticed a red guy. He started shooting at us but we started rapidly firing at him and shelling his surroundings. In no time at all he was hit and we moved forward again. I stayed with a Blue Team member as we went along. Again I noticed another Red Team person and I noticed that he had a partner with him. Again we all started shooting at them. I remember I saw one of them in the bushes and then he put his hands and gun up in the air because one of my team members had gotten him. The other one kept up the shooting rate but we got him too. We made anther advance and I could see the enemy West base. I noticed a Red guy behind some bushes and he started shelling the general area my group was in with paintballs. I had to get behind a tree to not get hit. One of my team mates got him and he was out. We all ran into the base and we took the flag down. One of the members took it and started running back to the East Base. I followed close behind him. All of the sudden I heard paintball guns firing at us. We ran down a trail as paintballs splattered all around us. When we got out of range I heard the Red guys yelling and coming after us so we wouldn't get away. It was too late for them though. We got back to our base and we had returned the flag. Victory!
Note: Here is a piece of advice; if the enemy is in range, so are you.
